When man invented the bicycle he reached the peak of his attainments. Here was a machine of precision and balance for the convenience of man. And (unlike subsequent inventions for man's convenience) the more he used it, the fitter his body became. Here, for once, was a product of man's brain that was entirely beneficial to those who used it, and of no harm or irritation to others. Babe on Board...

A recent trip to Seattle area to visit Kelly resulted in a visit to a wooden boat festival. We met Sam Devlin the desginer and builder of some incredible seaworthy craft including the 22' I want to start. Work will commence this winter in the garage. He also designed the Prandall, the boat the boy scouts and I built last summer.

Note the lady on board a Surf Scoter 22'. This is the boat I have plans for so it was useful to be able to climb about and get some perspective of its size and layout.

Can't wait but a number of tasks involving wood have to completed first. Its not all bad.
